Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin.
Temptation is inevitable. Some of us need to watch what we say. Some us need to stay away from addiction. And some need to guard their hearts so they don't fall into adulterous relationships.
When faced with temptation, we have two doors to choose from. The first door is the easy to choose. Open it and you give in to temptation as well as reap the consequences that go with it: hurt feelings, the prison of addiction and broken marriages. The second door is more difficult to choose, but when you open it and stay inside you receive blessings: healed relationships, freedom from addiction's bondage and God's best spouse for you.
Today, close the door on temptation. Open the door to obedience. Walk in. Stay in.
