Desperate

^{Jeremiah 42:1} Then all the army officers, including Johanan son of Kareah and Jezaniah ^a]">[a] son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least to the greatest approached ² Jeremiah the prophet and said to him, "Please hear our petition and pray to the LORD your God for this entire remnant. For as you now see, though we were once many, now only a few are left. ³ Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do."

Are you in a desperate situation? A situation that you can't do anything about? Your children who are walking in the wrong direction won't listen to or follow you. Your spouse is non-communicative and you don't know why. You're in debt and can't pay for it. You lost your job.

Desperation is a gift from God. It forces us to acknowledge our limitations and tap into Him and His greater power. It forces us to seek His direction. Today, surrender your desperate situation to God and pray for others who are in the same boat.
